Description:
The main objective of the service is to produce a general redevelopment plan for the UNICEF compound in Bassiknou, Mauritania. The reflection will help to replace the existing "office" and "bedroom" containers with sustainable modules built according to the Nubian Vault technical concept andaccording to the validated typologies (cf. pilot bedroom and office built by the ILO on the compound). This redevelopment will respect the following principles: - The existing "hard" buildings are retained. - The sanitation works are identified, existing and projected if required. - The areas oftree planting are identified (Greening). The service will also allow cost estimates for future buildings to be built according to the Nubian Vault technical concept to replace the existing "office" and "Guest room" containers.constructed according to the Nubian Vault technical concept and according to the typologies validated during the 2022-2023 pilot phase which resulted in the reception of a standard office of 20 m2 and a standard bathroom also of 20 m2. The technical specificities of typical buildings, in particular their dimensions, will bet communicated to the service provider before the start of the mission. The Nubian Vault technical concept is a complete construction system inspired by the ancient technique of the Nubian vault. It consists of a massive and load-bearing structure, entirely made of brick masonry and mortar of terre raw, made up of walls taking up a vaulted roof. The vault is erected without formwork; it is self-supporting, works mainly in compression and is fully weight-bearing. These specificities make the VN technical concept a particularly durable solution (very low carbon footprintone and maximization of the use of local resources) and adapted to the Sahelian context.
